Categories
“No-code AI agent builder” covers very different products. Start with the job your agent must do, then pick from the category that fits.
Workflow automation agents
Workflow automation agent builders let an AI agent make decisions inside a visual automation that also runs fixed, predictable steps. The leaders are n8n (self-hostable, priced per execution), Zapier Agents (9,000+ apps, per Zapier) and Make (credit-based, with a visible reasoning panel).
AI assistants & AI employees
AI assistant (“AI employee”) builders give you an agent you talk to rather than a workflow you draw. Lindy works across Slack, email and meetings from $29.99 per user per month; Gumloop adds browser agents from $37 per month; MindStudio has a free plan.
Customer support agents
Customer support agent builders create chat or voice agents that answer and resolve customer questions. Botpress prices per conversation from $150 per month with AI usage included; Voiceflow suits CX teams and agencies with usage-based billing and white-labeling.
Voice & phone agents
AI voice agent platforms run phone agents that book appointments, answer questions and route calls. Retell AI lists pay-as-you-go pricing of $0.07–$0.31 per minute with a drag-and-drop canvas; Vapi charges $0.05 per minute for hosting plus provider costs and suits developers.
Open-source & self-hosted
The main self-hostable no-code agent builders in 2026 are n8n (free Community Edition), Dify (source-available, Docker) and Langflow (open source, Python under the hood). Flowise reached end of life on 31 August 2026, so it is no longer a safe new choice.
Enterprise agent platforms
Enterprise AI agent platforms add governance — SSO, audit logs, on-premise or VPC deployment and compliance — on top of agent building. Microsoft Copilot Studio fits Microsoft 365 organizations; StackAI (now part of Asana) targets regulated industries; Relevance AI sells a sales-led “AI workforce”.
